How to organize your
surprise party
Each month, our company celebrates our colleagues based on their zodiac signs.
Due to the pandemic, we missed celebrating some birthdays, so we decided to host a terrace celebration for all the missed signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer.
Well, I’m an Aries (although, until now, I thought I was born on the very last day of Pisces). This time, here’s what I did differently when organizing the event:
- Food
Everyone knew what food they were going to have because we had all selected our meals beforehand, so there were no issues with choosing the food.
However, no birthday is complete without cake! To avoid the tricky situation of choosing my own cake, I asked our colleague Claudia—who is talented at brightening anyone’s day with her creations—to make a cake of her choice.
P.S.: Claudia is passionate about culinary arts and even has a blog full of delicious recipes. Feel free to check it out HERE.
Good. The food was checked. Now, the harder part followed.
2.) Gifts. Yes, I did get someone to pack this! :)) I bought 18 books as a gift, 18 birthdays being celebrated.
I asked the people from Carturesti, from where I bought the books, to also gift wrap them. Thus, the gift was a surprise for me too!
(Okay, I admit. I cheated by choosing only books I liked. But if you don’t tell anyone, they won’t find out)
