Internship Insights 2025

Two Promising Students at Programming Pool

At Programming Pool, we foster a culture of curiosity, enthusiasm, and continuous learning. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming two talented students, Nicu Boga and Nicu Gavriș. During their three-week internship, they gained firsthand experience in a dynamic software development environment. They had the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop key coding skills, and collaborate closely with our team of developers.
Want to know what they learned and loved during their time at Programming Pool? Here’s their take!

Q. Why did you choose to do your internship at Programming Pool?
Nicu Boga: I decided to complete my internship at Programming Pool after Tiberiu, one of your developers whom I had known beforehand, encouraged me to apply and told me it would be an excellent fit.
Nicu Gavriș: I chose to do my internship at Programming Pool because I had been here last year as well, and I liked it very much. The atmosphere was great, the colleagues were friendly, and the work environment made me want to come back.

Q. What were the most valuable things you learned during the internship?
Nicu Boga: The most valuable things I learned were the basic commands for the Microsoft Visual Studio application.
Nicu Gavriș: I learned how to develop an application from scratch, from planning and structuring it to actually writing the code. I gained a better understanding of how the parts of an application connect and how important it is to work in an organized, step-by-step manner.

Q. How were your relationships with your internship coordinator and the team?
Nicu Boga: The relationship with the internship coordinator and the rest of the team was really great in every way; I got along wonderfully with all my colleagues.
Nicu Gavriș: It was very good. The coordinator was really helpful and supported me whenever I needed it. It was a pleasant atmosphere and easy to work in.

Q. How important do you think the internship is for a student’s development?
Nicu Boga: I believe the internship is essential for a student’s development because it prepares you, in a way, for what will come after university.
Nicu Gavriș: It is very important because you get to experience working on a real project, rather than just the theoretical side. The internship helps you understand how what you learn at university is applied in practice and what effective teamwork really means.

Q. What kinds of knowledge did you gain during the 3-week internship?
Nicu Boga: I believe I have improved my coding skills and my ability to understand errors.
Nicu Gavriș: I learned to work in a more organized way, to be patient when problems arise, and to look for solutions independently. I also developed my logical thinking and gained more confidence in writing code.

Q. What skills did you develop during the internship?
Nicu Boga: I developed a better overall perspective on what code and coding actually mean.
Nicu Gavriș: I learned to work with the MVC model, and I watched a course on this topic. After that, I started developing a cinema-type application, where I applied what I had learned, even if I couldn’t fully complete it. I also learned how to upload the project to GitHub and how to manage project versions.

Q. How would you describe your experiences at Programming Pool?
Nicu Boga: I personally had a very positive experience during my three-week internship, and I would be happy to join this team anytime.
Nicu Gavriș: It was a very nice experience. I felt like I was part of a group I had known for a long time, not like in a typical internship. Everyone was open, and the environment was exactly the kind I would like to find in a real workplace.

Q. Do you have any suggestions for us? Would you change anything about how the internship was organized?
Nicu Boga: Personally, I wouldn’t change anything about how the internship was conducted.
Nicu Gavriș: I wouldn’t change anything. The internship is very well organized as it is now.

Q. Thinking about the time you spent with us, what stands out the most for each of you?
Nicu Boga: The way people in this company help each other and the advice they give one another.
Nicu Gavriș: I remember the team atmosphere and the moments when we worked together on the cinema application; it was a pleasant and useful experience.

Q. Thinking about the time you spent with us, what stands out the most for each of you?
Nicu Boga: Yes, I would really like to work with this company in the future because I found a very friendly, open, sociable, and humorous team, which is a huge advantage that motivates you to go to work.
Nicu Gavriș: Yes, I would be happy to work there, as I felt welcomed and gained a lot of knowledge, even in a short period.
